1 The Rabbit Never Escapes
10/22/13
Keith Davis, the British ambassador to Tazbekistan, is tasked with securing a £2billion helicopter contract for the UK. Affairs are jeopardised when a British human rights activist is arrested by the regime, and faces the death penalty. Keith must face the growing pressure to prioritise human rights issues over winning arms contracts.
2 The Prince's Trousers
10/29/13
Minor royal Prince Mark of Bath has been invited to Tazbekistan to help the embassy win oil deals. He soon makes himself unpopular with his demands for luxury, but his arrival coincides with the escape of an outspoken dissident, who manages to find sanctuary in the embassy. The Tazbeks are furious, and with hopes of securing oil deals slipping away, the embassy must rely on the man least likely to improve relations: Prince Mark.
3 The Tazbek Spring
11/5/13
Anti-government rebels are disrupting the streets of the capital with gunfire and explosions. The ambassador has to make a difficult decision: should he risk his career attempting to make contact with the rebel leader or stick to his usual cautious attitude of waiting to see how events transpire? Spurred by his critics, he enters a potentially doomed mission into the heart of the Tazbek rebellion.

About this show

Starring the celebrated comedy duo Mitchell and Webb, this sharply written comedy drama is set around the world of the Tazbekistan embassy, where ambassador Keith Davis is trying to navigate the politics of Tazbekistan to prove to the British government he is a great man...although actually he is utterly useless.

but sadly it has no future because it wasn't successful. I really hope they bring it back eventually provided BBC don't reformat it as a drama like they have stated they might.

Great subtle comedy, makes it so believable that things like this could happen in diplomacy. Great casting and story lines, completely miffed that the BBC ended the series after only 3 episodes...it was just getting really good!
