Not recommended. This is an incredible true story about an extraordinary man. But the film was not well executed at all. It lingered endlessly on certain scenes that do not forward the narrative or your understand of how Louie keeps going. The structure could have been a lot better. And why would you show the most interesting part of the story when Louie (*spoiler alert*) returns to Japan to forgive his captors? A better film on a similar subject is Railway Man.

This movie brung me to tears it was such a great film and it shows how much courage he had i could watch this over and over
