The TARDIS materializes on a Minyan space craft called the R1C. Here they find a man named Jackson and his four-party crew on a millennia-long quest to locate the P7E, the only other ship to survive their planet’s devastating civil war. The P7E was carrying the genetic race banks for the entire Minyan species before it disappeared, but now, after thousands of years, Jackson his crew have traced the missing ship's signal and are determined to save their civilization.
