This is the worst written, poorly constructed and edited with no world building in a tv show. There is no evidence this is a horrible life. The choppy back and forth timeline makes this a mess. There is no logic to why things are the way they are and accepted and why they would want short ugly babies when models would be more believable. It's painful to watch Moss up close nonstop. The narrow focal length and look makes this show look cheap and plastic on bluescreens. Not a best show at all but we all know why it wins because of this fake victimization fear mongering in society. Seriously f this show.

Hysterical anti-male agitprop that only an idiot could love. I watched it for the lulz. I do have questions though. For starters, can anyone explain to me why Elizabeth Moss seemed so sad when confronted with a decapitated Lincoln Memorial? Iconoclasm became a celebrated activity for a good day out nary a year later all across the United States, and I can assure you, it wasn't religious fundie fascists destroying those statues of old white men. Liberals: your ideology is completely incoherent.

The episodes themselves as a standalone piece follow a narrative and character arc; however, if you watch The Handmaid's Tale in quick succession it becomes apparent when Atwood's inspiration ends as all structure and character development ends with it. While art imitates life, the constant progression and retrogression in each episode of the overarching story makes the series as a whole difficult to sustain; for every carrot dangled at the viewer, six are stolen back by the closing credits.
