I always love the idea or trope of the cursed object in a horror film but this movie lacked…..more detail in the beginning. Like the killer or ghost wasn’t fleshed out enough as a horror villain. The recent film Polaroid is a better example of a horror film about a cursed or haunted object. I can see where films like Oculus and Mirrors drew inspiration from this film though. I bet the Devonsville Terror is good.
Now that's a death kiss! This movie is The Boogey Man, by the way. There are lots of other movies called The Boogeyman. It's weird how often shudder messes up things like this.

ok. i love this movie for ONE reason...the kid that sticks his head in the window and bites down on him as he yells "Boogeyman!" makes me laugh every time i think of it. its perfect. the movie is just a little too boring otherwise but its fine and if you havent seen it check it out for some shlock fun
Community theater grade acting. Sounds like garbage. A story and plot that are boring. An antagonist that is poorly executed. Character motivations and decisions that aren’t explained. Sat through 3/4 of it before remembering that even my sad life doesn’t deserve to be wasted in this way.
