About this movie

Annie (Rose Byrne) is stuck in a long-term relationship with Duncan (Chris O’Dowd) – an obsessive fan of obscure rocker Tucker Crowe (Ethan Hawke). When the acoustic demo of Tucker's hit record from 25 years ago surfaces, its release leads to a life-changing encounter with the elusive rocker himself. Based on the novel by Nick Hornby, Juliet, Naked is a comic account of life’s second chances.

Apart from this being a bit of a romance, it's also a cautionary tale if you think about it. While it might make you feel better about your own poor life choices, certain characters in this film are continuing to be careless. The film makers seemed to be advocating that you should take stupid risks (like sleeping around) in life because you might regret that you didn't - this is really bad advice for anyone. I might add that nobody (deep down) wants to be a single parent. that's a tough job, the role of fathers is important to children too.. something you can see in this film (due to the lack thereof). I felt a bit sorry for the kids as you can see them continuing in the footsteps of their parents. The end seemed to me like they took pains to avoid any traditional (normal?) ending so they twisted it up a bit. Oh well.. There's a lot to like here too, it certainly made me think about relationships and life in general.
