About this movie

If an inexplicable feeling of dread overcomes you . . . don't ignore it. The residents of this small coastal town do and regret it when a freak tsunami traps a group of them inside a supermarket, where they soon find they are not alone. Their only company, besides each other, is a pack of hungry killer sharks. Starring Alex Russel (Chronicle, Wasted on the Young), Xavier Samuel (Anonymous, Twighlight: Eclipse), Phoebe Tonkin (TV's The Secret Circle), and Julian McMahon (TV's Nip/Tuck, Red).

At first, you may not think mutch of BAIT; with it's cliche character tropes, an 'Asylum'-like scenerio, and a low budget that would normally add up to a crappy movie. However, BAIT, was obviously made with passion and enthusiasm and plays to it's disadvantages. The cast and crew knew what sort of movie they were making and created a fun creature feature that is genuinely enjoyable. They use their FX budget wisely, balancing the CG and practical FX so as not to destroy the shark's believability and the story's tension. Sit back and just go on auto pilot for a couple of hours and enjoy BAIT.

It's not Hollywood grade. It doesn't have that refined spit and polish. But it's well shot, good action, fast paced. Of course it has some bad CG moments but that comes with the territory. Fun movie! If you like these sorts of films, you'll enjoy BAIT! :-)

In most shark movies, they say stay out of the water, In this movie they bring the water to you. But the non-stop talking and low plot line made it kinda boring
