About this movie

This is the horrifying true account of John Reginald Christie, whose crimes and subsequent trial summarily ended capital punishment in Britain. After savagely murdering a woman and her newborn baby, Christie was able to convince a jury that the woman's husband was the actual perpetrator. Years later, Christie admitted his guilt and a shocked nation learned an innocent man had been put to death. © 1970, renewed 1998 Columbia Pictures Industries, Inc. All Rights Reserved.

Supreme acting from everyone involved. A grisly portrail of the true story. One of my all time favourite chilling films (Richard Attenborough is outstandingly cold and calculating). The time period just adds to the atmosphere. If you enjoy psychological horror /chillers this ticks the box.

I'm torn on this one. Historically it seems pretty accurate, the performances are amazing but I feel like they cut the story short. I was hoping for something more conclusive that went over all the events at 10 Rillington Place.
