A man in small-town America who, in his attempt to escape from his dead-end job and his dull life, gets caught up in a web of theft, kidnapping and murder. Together with his lover and a college friend, he plans an elaborate burglary which culminates in further criminal activities, leaving the desperate young man in potentially fatal dire straits.
