I regret paying to rent this, that's what I get for taking a recommendation from watchmojo. Never again. The movie wasn't scary or a good insight into the mind of a serial killer, just stupid. If you are looking for a movie like Zodiac or even a gore film, this isn't it. If you're looking for a movie to watch with friends and roast the film, maybe. It's hard to even recommend it for that because it takes you out of that place of mind by getting oddly philosophical, but not in any impactful way. Also apparently the director sympathizes with Hitler so don't support them.

You'll either love it or hate it. In classic LVT style, it is slow paced and thought provoking, beautiful and provocative, and frequently goes off on long tangents. It isn't for everyone, it is either sadistic or funny depending on who's watching, & this is the EDITED VERSION! Full version is temporarily not available in the U.S. due to the violence in the film. This R rated version cuts out around 2 minutes of (important) violence and can be a bit jarring. I love LVT and Matt Dillon is awesome.

Loved it. This film is more of a dark, divinish comedy but a great one with depth. Some of the best acting I've seen in a long time and for years to come. It is REALLY gorey and has certain things that may trigger people with history of abuse. Not for the faint of heart. SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS The Parley between The Verge and Jack are humorous and thought provoking. Debating what should and shouldnt be considered art, the morals of Jack, his perspective.( If I remember correctly).
