Whitney leaves her life in LA behind to start a new one in New York, kickstarting her fashion career with a job at Diane von Furstenberg's global design house.

Whitney's world comes crashing down when a past boyfriend shows up to warn her that her current boyfriend, Jay, is seeing someone behind her back; Olivia makes it her mission to befriend Whitney.

Tired of the mixed signals, Whitney decides to ask Jay exactly where she stands. At the same time, the arrival of Erin's new boyfriend forces Whitney to think about finding a new apartment.

Erin is concerned that things are moving way too fast with Duncan, and Jay opens up about his true to feelings to Adam.

Adam has a little too much fun on a boys' night out, while Allie is out of town. But the events of the night soon catch up to him when Allie hears that he kissed another woman.

Allie falls apart when she comes across the woman Adam kissed on a night out, but Adam is determined to stick to his story and win her back; Whitney is annoyed with Jay for taking Adam's side.
