A mummified body found on a derelict aeroplane leads the team to a similar case. Spence is undercover in prison trying to find out the motive for these deaths from the convicted killer who is too scared to say anything and clearly hasn't killed anyone. The plane victim's uncle arrives from India to tell the team his nephew was investigating a corrupt businessman who had been peddling fake drugs.
2 Towers of Silence, Pt. 2
9/19/05
The shadowy figure of the corrupt Indian businessman grows increasingly sinister as the team discover that he was manufacturing fake pharmaceutical drugs designed to be sold at a high price to unwitting AIDS victims in third world countries. A major international pharmaceutical company is implicated in the cover up and they will take steps, however illegal, to silence their problem.
3 Black Run, Pt. 1

4 Black Run, Pt. 2
9/26/05
Boyd has been suspended following a hit and run offence whilst under the influence - only he can't remember anything. The remaining team members must find out who framed Boyd and whether Eddie Vine is innocent. Their investigations are interrupted when the Commissioner gives them a new team member to help in Boyd's absence - but the team are convinced she's a plant designed to find incriminating evidence against Boyd.
5 Subterraneans, Pt. 1
10/2/05
A millionaire businessman is found dead one year after he disappeared - he has been kept prisoner in an underground cellar but the kidnapper made no ransom demands. The victim appears to have committed suicide with pills. In the same cellar another male body is found - this one appears to have been brutally murdered and some years earlier, presumably by the same man. Retracing the steps of the two men leads the team to an unlikely suspect.
6 Subterraneans, Pt. 2
10/3/05
The team know they have their man - now all they have to do is prove it. As they collect the damning evidence, their suspect disappears and shortly afterwards, so does his wife. The team realise that the murders took place in order to prevent the truth of the killer's secret life from reaching his wife. In a bid to prevent her being hurt by the revelations, she is going to be his next victim.
7 Straw Dog, Pt. 1
10/9/05
Back in 1979, at the start of her career as a Forensic Profiler, Grace assisted in the arrest and conviction of Tony Greene for the murder and mutilation of young men. Thirty years later, Grace is called to give evidence at Tony Greene's Appeal, at the same time as a copycat killer seems to have appeared. Grace receives a chilling message from the new killer.
8 Straw Dog, Pt. 2
10/10/05
Tony Greene is still incarcerated so the hunt is on for either the real killer or a copycat who has intimate knowledge of Greene's MO. The team trace the killer through Greene's ex-cell mate. He turns out to be one of Grace's fellow professionals who worked with Greene in prison and wanted to humiliate her professionally. Grace decides to confront him at his house.
9 Undertow, Pt. 1
10/16/05
Suspected serial killer Steven Hunt is serving nine months in prison for benefit fraud, and he's about to get out. The team must solve the murders he committed in the past in order to prevent him from committing any more in the future. But with nothing other than coincidences and hunches they can't prevent him from leaving prison and beginning a killing spree.
10 Undertow, Pt. 2
10/17/05
Hunt is released and Boyd has him tailed. Under the noses of his police tail, Hunt drowns a girl at the local baths. There is no proof, so Boyd releases his name to a journalist hoping that media coverage will give the team something to work with. The journalist arranges to meet Hunt and is murdered. This time there is evidence to pin the crime on him.
11 Cold Fusion, Pt. 1
10/23/05
A murder case that Spencer worked on whilst a policeman at the Atomic Energy Commission is under review. DNA evidence that has been unusable until now looks set to reveal the murderer of two anti nuclear campaigners in the 1980s. And it turns out not to be the man convicted of their deaths twenty years earlier. But someone inside the team is making every effort to destroy the new evidence.
12 Cold Fusion, Pt. 2
10/24/05

Spencer has gone to apprehend the man who left his DNA at the campaigners' murder scene but is shot at and loses contact with Boyd. Boyd realises that his investigation is being thwarted by a very powerful insider.

About this show

A stylish, contemporary thriller series. The Cold Case team is a crack squad of police investigators who reopen unsolved murder cases, using new technology to re-examine evidence that hopefully will lead to the killer. They are at the cutting edge of modern police investigation, but they have been given just one year to prove their worth. Starring Trevor Eve and Sue Johnston.

I love these. As with all programmes they vary, the worst are good, the best fantastic. Two stars because of the overall package as supplied by Google. They are a lot cheaper on Amazon. Some are under a third of the Google price, none hit double figures. Come on Google, you are World's best search engine, check out the competition. I don't own all the series, maybe I'll buy the rest from you if you price match.

Gutted there are only two series available on here! Another well written, well acted, and fantastically thought out offering from the BBC. Trevor Eve and Sue Johnston were the 2 that stayed from the start until the end, joined along the way with a whole bunch of great actors. Loved the puzzles, the fact the cases could be years old, old but connected to some recent case etc etc. Another one that has now finished though sadly. The BBC have had some great shows to be fair

Good show, BUT... the full season is £21 (on sale I may add) and the price per episode is £1.99. There are 8 episodes, that makes £15.92 for the whole season. Get wise or get GOOGLED
