Divorced working mother Christine Campbell (series star JULIA LOUIS-DREYFUS) owns a women's 30-minute workout gym, successfully juggling the daily stresses of motherhood and her business. Her 8-year-old son, Ritchie (series star TREVOR GAGNON), has just been accepted into a posh private school frequented by two snooty stay-at-home moms, Marly (series star TRICIA O'KELLEY) and Lindsay (series star ALEX KAPP HORNER). Christine's twentysomething slacker brother, Matthew (series star HAMISH LINKLATER), lives with her and also serves as Ritchie's babysitter. Christine gets along with her charming ex-husband, Richard (series star CLARK GREGG), even better than when they were married, but her life gets a lot more complicated when she meets Richard's new girlfriend: a nice, young, impossible-to-hate woman also named Christine (series star EMILY RUTHERFURD)...the "new" Christine.
2 Supertramp

Upon learning that Richard and "new" Christine are enjoying an intimate relationship, Christine becomes determined to make her own romantic conquests. After several failed attempts to meet eligible men, she finally runs into a divorced guy named Stan (recurring guest star ANDY RICHTER - "Andy Richter Controls the Universe") at the grocery store. Unbeknownst to Christine, however, needy Stan is known as "Sad Dad" at Ritchie's school.
3 Open Water

Upon learning that her close friend Barb (recurring guest star Emmy Award winner WANDA SYKES - "The Chris Rock Show") is responsible for matching up "new" Christine and Richard, Christine allows Barb to set her up on a blind date of her own. 4 One Toe Over the Line, Sweet Jesus
3/27/06
Upon learning from the gloating Matthew that Christine is out enjoying her fifth date with an attorney, Burton (recurring guest star MATT LETSCHER - "Joey"), Richard does what any self-respecting ex-husband would do: He sabotages the happy couple's goodnight kiss and insults Burton with lawyer jokes. But when Richard tries to make it up to the pair by inviting them to dinner with him and "new" Christine, his best-laid plans go awry.
5 I'll Show You Mine
4/3/06
Christine gets nervous when Burton (recurring guest star MATT LETSCHER) tries to take their relationship to the next level. After 10 dates, Christine faces a critical moment. Will she or won't she--let him in the house, that is, to meet her son, Ritchie. She eventually relents, only to freak out even more later.
6 The Other F Word
4/10/06
Concerned about the uniformity of Ritchie's schoolmates, Christine takes it upon herself to help diversify the student body at his exclusive private school. But her attempt to promote racial and ethnic diversity has unintended consequences. Recurring guest star WANDA SYKES appears as Christine's friend Barb.
7 Long Day's Journey Into Stan
4/17/06
Everyone expects Christine to fall apart emotionally after her breakup, but she insists she is fine and looking forward to spending some time on her own. By the end of the day, Christine must compose herself in order to make a good impression at parents' night at Ritchie's school, but she is caught off guard when "new" Christine shows up there as well.
10 No Fault Divorce

Christine's former marriage counselor comes into the gym, leading to some awkward moments between the two women. When Christine mentions this to Richard, his cryptic reaction leads her to question whether it was in the counselor's best interest to encourage their divorce. Meanwhile, after Matthew finds Christine's wedding video in a box of old photo albums, Christine takes a trip down memory lane. Recurring guest star WANDA SYKES appears as Christine's friend Barb.
11 Exile on Lame Street
5/15/06
Christine objects when Richard and "new" Christine want to take Ritchie to a Rolling Stones concert. Fearing that her son is too young to be exposed to the vices on display there, Christine initially forbids it. While volunteering at the spring carnival at Ritchie's school, Christine is surprised to learn that there's a hot new dad at the school--and excited that it's her ex-boyfriend, Burton (recurring guest star MATT LETSCHER). I loved this show! "Old Christine" was very naive, nervous, sometimes even dumb. However, she was always genuine. I'm going to have to purchase the entire series because I don't want to depend on the networks to provide me with such original and daring content.

I happened by this show @2am & thought it was pretty good but I didn't see when the show was on at it's normal time. I found it perfect for that time because I have woke up early. I wouldn't think a show would catch my attention that early in yhe morning but I really like it & find it very hilarious. I don't catch good shows very often but glad I caught this one. Glad I can help rate it too. I read some comments before downloanding or pay attention to new shows. I'm really in to this 1. 💯👍👏🤣

I love this show, it is so funny. Julia is amazing in all her roles but as Christine she is hilarious and relatable in her adventures. The whole cast is great and all the characters add their own humor and struggles. I only wish there had been more seasons as I often watch the series over and over again and laugh out loud every time.
