Evergreen actress and Gold Logie winner Rebecca Gibney has returned to her native New Zealand after many years living across the ditch in Australia. She meets up with Julia at the top of the cable car overlooking Wellington. After a ride on the cable car, Rebecca and Julia jump into a classic green mini to head back into Rebecca's life in the New Zealand capital.

The kitchen Maggie Beer made famous in The Cook and the Chef may be in the heart of the Barossa Valley but our most beloved foodie is originally a Sydney girl from Lakemba. So Julia meets Maggie in Punchbowl and they set off in a chauffeur driven Corolla for a tour around her old neighbourhood where she is quite overcome with the emotions that rush back to her.

They start the day in Fremantle at a bar in which Dave played keyboards in a duo imaginatively called 'Dave & I'. He tells Julia about a string of bands he joined before the punk scene changed everything, leading to him moving to Sydney where he formed the Hoodoo Gurus.

They meet outside one of Germaine's favourite places - the Cambridge library and settle inside for a revealing conversation about Australia, her parents and her early love of words and language.
