Empire Falls

Quite a wonderful cast in this series, a mix of thespian legends and some of their contemporary equals. Certainly worth watching because of that. I couldn't help getting drawn into it, but then certain scenes and passages of dialogue or even a single line delivered in a particular way would seem clumsy somehow or not quite ring true and it distracted me from the story. Parts of it had the atmosphere of a stage production.
