1 The Knights of Busytown / Cave Pig / Bucketman In Busytown

A game of Knights of the Busytown Round Table ends when Sally doesn't want to be the fair maiden in distress anymore. She decides to build her own castle in the Cat family's backyard, while Huckle and Lowly build one too. Then when Hilda suggests they combine both castles to make a big one, all the kids get to play together and the fair maiden is none other than Hilda Hippo. / Bump and Thump are inventors from pre-historic times, and on this busy day they come up with great ways to make life easier for the Cave Pigs. But when the Cave Pigs don't appreciate the first house, or the first dinner table and plates, Bump and Thump fear they've failed... that is until our great inventors combine all that day's failures and make the first ever wagon. Now this is the kind of fun Cave Pigs love. / Mr. Frumble buys a new TV antennae but his attempts to get better reception land him stuck in a paint-splattered garbage can and looking like a 'Bucketman From Outer Space'. He causes panic in Busytown until Huckle and Lowly see him in danger and hurry to help. They rescue Mr. Frumble and even help him get perfect TV reception.
2 Billy Dog Gets Glasses / Cordelia's Debut / Lowly Joins The Circus

When Billy Dog finds out he needs glasses he thinks his life is over. Professor Dog tries to convince him that glasses are just a tool, but Billy still doesn't want to wear them. That is until he sees glasses that are just like Sergeant Murphy's goggles. Billy gives them a try and realizes glasses are a pretty good thing indeed. / Cordelia is a dedicated stage manager during Shakespearean times who dreams of being an actress. But, during this time in history, women aren't allowed on stage - that is until it looks like the show WON'T go on and Cordelia takes center stage to play the lead role. And with the help of her assistant stage manager, Cordelia transforms Shakespeare's new play into a 'Comedy of Errors'. / Lowly Joins The Circus When the circus ringmaster sees Lowly doing some tricks he gives him an offer he can't refuse to join the circus. Lowly loves all the attention of being a circus star in the big top, but when it's time for the circus to move on, Lowly has second thoughts. He realizes being a star in his own family is what he really wants, so Lowly the Wonder Worm retires.
3 The Big Dare / Oliver's Sandwich / Pig Will Won't

When Billy Dog hears the gang telling stories about the ghosts in the abandoned mill, he boasts he's not afraid of ghosts - and he'll prove it - and dares everyone to follow him in. But when the other kids refuse, Billy goes in anyway and gets stuck, and Huckle must get Sergeant Murphy to come to the rescue. / Young Oliver is the Earl of Sandwiches' clumsy butler, and he has a huge crush on Catherine of Roastburry. But alas, Oliver is but a butler and fears Catherine will only notice him if he does something great. And that's just what Oliver does when a new type of lunch is demanded, and he invents the most famous food ever the sandwich. / Imagine a Busytown with two Pig Won'ts. That's just what happens when the ever helpful Pig Will gets a bump on the head and turns into another Pig Won't. Now Pig Won't sees just how 'difficult' he is when he says "I won't" all the time. And when Pig Will's back to his old self, Pig Won't promises to say "I Will" more often... but he WON'T say it too often.
4 The Best Birthday Party Ever / Martha's First Book / Locked Out

There's a birthday disaster in Busytown Kenny and Lynnie are going to throw birthday parties on the same day. Huckle and Lowly want everyone to celebrate together, so they put their plan in to action. And once they get everyone into the same room, it's a big SURPRISE for Lynnie and Kenny who end up having the best birthday ever. / Little Martha wants so much to read books, but they are very rare because they must all be lettered by hand. So when Martha learns of Guttenbear, a man who has lots of books, she hurries to see if she can borrow one. When she finds Guttenbear busy inventing a laundry press, she helps him to modify it, and when they're done, the world is blessed with the invention of the printing press. / Mr. Frumble is locked out of his house. First he tries the windows, then an upstairs porch, but each attempt leaves his house in greater need of repair. And when Mr. Frumble 'borrows' Roger Rhino's wrecking ball, he finally gets in, though he no longer has a house. But he does have an umbrella, so when it starts to rain, he's nice and dry when he finds his house key in his pocket.
5 Dad's Neat Job / The Discovery of America / Mr. Gronkle's Friends

Miss Honey's new school project on what jobs your parents do has Huckle worried. He doesn't think his dad's job as a travel agent is very exciting - certainly not like being a police officer or a firefighter. But when Father Cat takes Huckle and Lowly to his travel office, they learn that being a travel agent is a great job, and Huckle and Lowly give the best presentation ever. / Dona Felipa hears about Admiral Columoose's trip across the ocean, and it is just the type of adventure she's has always dreamed of. So, with her less than willing husband, Amerigo, in tow, they stowaway on Columoose's ship. But when Felipa is discovered and thrown in the hold, Amerigo is all alone to help Columoose find his map and keep the ship afloat. / Mr. Gronkle's mother is coming to Busytown and she wants to meet all of her son's friends. Mr. Gronkle decides the only way that can happen is if he tricks some Busytowners into coming by his house at the same time his mother arrives. But when the 'invited' guests find out the truth, they throw a huge welcome party, and Mr. Gronkle learns he does have friends after all.
6 Denys at Camp / Peasant Pig's Gifts / Little Fixit

Huckle and Lowly do their best to get Denys to participate in all the camp events, but he just doesn't think he's good enough to even try. But when Huckle and Lowly's canoe goes out of control, Denys doesn't have time to think - he just acts - and saves his friends. When Denys realizes what he did, he starts to like camp and learns that trying new things can be lots of fun. / Piggy Origami's granddaughter tells him of how perfect she wants her wedding to be - with cranes and swans and beautiful flowers - so he heads out to fulfill her wish. And when he sees discarded colour paper he gets a marvelous idea. The wedding party enters the garden and is amazed to find it full of colourful paper cranes and swans and flowers. Piggy Origami's gift is the invention of Origami. / Mr. and Mrs. Fixit are delighted to learn that they are going to have a baby. But they realize they don't have enough room, especially if they have twins, or triplets, or quadruplets! So it's time to renovate, and with the help of Huckle, Lowly, and Sally, the Fixit's build the best baby room ever. And when Little Fixit is born, the first thing he wants to hold is his father's hammer.
7 The School Dance / The First Olympics / Hilda for President

Hilda Hippo has planned a school dance and all the kids are very excited, except for Huckle. He doesn't know how to dance, and he's afraid he'll look silly. Lowly convinces Huckle to go to the dance, and with Cassie Cat's help, he makes it onto the dance floor and has a great time. The only problem now is how to get him to stop. / It's Alpha, Beta, Tri, Quint, and Quad's birthdays, and their father Zorbius comes up with a great way to celebrate a day of sporting activities. Together they invent all kinds of fun games, and when the mayor finds out he's totally thrilled. Why, they should hold similar games with the nearby villages! And they'll call them... the Olympics. / It's the first ever school elections and Billy Dog and Hilda enter the campaign race. But while Billy comes up with lots of ways to make the school better, Hilda thinks the way to get votes is through her friends' stomachs and spends most of her time baking. When Billy wins, Hilda realizes where she went wrong. And when Billy appoints her as Vice President she's delighted - they'll make a great team.
8 Mr. Frumble's Brother / Viking Pigs / The Perfect Wedding

When Mr. Frumble doesn't arrive to meet his twin brother's train, Mr. Frumble's brother heads into town to look for him. Busytown is thrown into confusion as two Frumble's bumble about and no one knows who's who or what's going on. When they finally meet up with each other, it's time for Frumble's brother to head back to workville... but Mr. Frumble's the one to get on the train. / Pig Pigson's crew is less than enthusiastic about exploring - they row, and row, but never get anywhere, so they give up. Pigson decides that if he does something nice for his crew they'll perform better. He cooks them a big meal, and does their laundry. And when he hangs the wet clothes from the flagpole on his ship, the crew's delighted to see that he can now explore the ocean all by himself. / The Perfect Wedding When Miss Honey and Bruno Bear announce they are to be married, Hilda promises to make everything perfect. But everyone has a different idea of what's perfect. On the day of the wedding, the dress has one too many sleeves, the cake's got a huge banana on it, and the carriage is made out of a real pumpkin. But everything's still perfect because it's the happiest day of Bruno and Miss Honey's lives.
9 A Tough Test / The First Pyramid / The Big Date

While Miss Honey's on vacation, Mr. John Tough is the class' substitute teacher, and boy does he work the kids hard - so hard that they don't like him very much. But, at the end of the week, they find out what he's been up to. They're going on an archeological dig to find fossils and dinosaur bones. The kids realize it was a good thing he worked them so hard and are happy to use all their new skills. / Imhotep is so busy designing a monument to honour King Sozer that he has no time to play with his son, Twomotep. But when Twomotep learns that the structure his father is building will fall down, he hurries to warn his father and in the process, comes up with the pyramid design. As a reward, the King gives Imhotep plenty of time to play with his son. / Scotty Dog invites Professor Dog out on a date, and Billy's shocked. Maybe Scotty wants to become his dad! Billy finds out what makes a good dad and invites himself along on the date to see if Scotty fits the bill. And after a perfect evening at the amusement park, Billy thinks Scotty's pretty special.
10 Inventor of the Year / Macaroni Polo / Lone Wolf at the Lighthouse

An informative class on inventors inspires Huckle to invent things to make his life easier. The flying bicycle isn't such a great idea, and the automatic room cleaner upper doesn't work either. But when Huckle makes a suggestion to Mr. Fixit on how he can use the pipes he replaced at school, the school gets a new jungle gym and Huckle thinks he just might be an inventor after all. / Macaroni Polo is delighted to learn that he'll accompany his older brother, Marco, to China. At the court of Kublai Khan they are greeted warmly, until Macaroni knocks over a priceless vase. Macaroni decides to find a way to make it up to Kublai Khan, and he does so when he modifies the pasta balls in his soup. Macaroni invents the first ever macaroni, and that just might be how pasta made it back to Italy. / Everyone says the lighthouse keeper, Lone Wolf, is a grumpy old fellow. So when Huckle and Lowly beach their paddle boat right next to his lighthouse, they're pretty scared. But while Father Cat searches the foggy bay for Huckle and Lowly, they end up having a grand time playing checkers with Lone Wolf. And when he rescues Father Cat too, it looks like they've got a good new friend.
11 A Fun-Time Riddle Race / The First Balloon / Billy Dog's Space Rock

Who will win the first ever fun-time riddle race? Huckle, Lowly, or Billy? "When it's dark, look up and watch the show" is the last riddle and Huckle and Lowly hurry to the Busytown observatory. It's Billy who guesses right - the answer is the movie theatre. And in the end, he shares his prize with his two friends and they all sit back to watch the show Huckle chose - the stars in the sky. / Little Ember has many questions for her uncles, and Etienne and Joseph Mongolfier don't always have the answers. When Ember asks why somethings can fly and others can't, she gets the two brothers thinking... why indeed? In search of the answer, they build the first hot air balloon ever and fly it for the King of France. And little Ember gets the surprise of her life - a ride among the clouds. / Billy's delighted when his mother tells him he can borrow her meteorite for Show and Tell. Billy does lots of research and gives a great presentation, but misplaces the space rock and heads home without it. Seeing how disappointed his mother is, Billy's determined to find it, and with the help of Huckle, Lowly, and Mr. Fixit's newest invention, they make Professor Dog a very proud mother.
12 The Best Amusement Park Ever / The First Bridge / Say Cheese Please!

Mr. Shaggy Sheepdog is going to close his amusement park, even though Benny, Harry, and Wolfgang think all the amusement park needs is some new paint and a good sweep. They set out to fix up the place, but to save Harry from a runaway roller coaster, Benny and Wolfgang end up making a new ride. And when word gets around, Mr. Sheepdog learns he's got a fun park after all. / The First Bridge Bump and Thump, our very inventive Cave Pigs are back in an all-new adventure as they try to make it over the river in search of berries. Their quest to get across leads to the invention of first life ring, a boat, a look-out tower, and then the first bridge. And with the help of their less inventive friend Clunk, they even invent jam. And all this on the same very busy Neanderthal day. / Say Cheese Please! The new class picture gives Miss Honey a great idea for a school project family portraits. It sounds a lot easier than it really is, especially if your family is as busy as the Cat family. Huckle just can't seem to get his family together in the same place at the same time. But when their family picnic is rained out, they take refuge in the car and Huckle snaps his picture - and a picture's worth a thousand words.
13 Has Anyone Seen My Book? / Pig's Brave Day / Vanderbuilt's New Shoes

When Huckle and Lowly sell Sally's favorite book at the Busytown flea market, they promise to get it back. Except the flea market is a very busy place and it seems impossible to find the man who bought it. But some smart thinking, and help from other items being sold at the fair, Huckle and Lowly fulfill their promise and that night read Sally her favorite story. / Pig's Brave Day P.J. Pig dreams of becoming a brave knight, so when Princess Lily is taken captive by a fierce dragon, he leads the royal guard to the dragon's lair. But the knights will only attack after they get some sleep - and how does one sleep in a suit of armour? P.J. comes up with the solution and Princess Lily is rescued. P.J.'s dream comes true, and he invents the first pajamas ever. / Mr. Gronkle's nephew, Vanderbuilt The Third, fails the try-outs for the soccer team. Vanderbuilt decides he needs fancy running shoes to get on the team, but Mr. Gronkle knows better. If Vanderbuilt wants new shoes, he'll have to work for them. Vanderbuilt helps Sprout out with his chores on the farm and realizes he doesn't need fancy running shoes... all he needed was a little exercise.

Worth getting for keeps. Netflix always takes down old things and place up new stuff on the instant watch list.

I remember renting a few video tapes from my local library when I was out sick.

These are no longer on Netflix, and are well worth the purchase. The Busytown Mysterys are on NF still, but not these.
