About this movie

A team of archaeologists unearths an ancient pyramid buried deep beneath the Egyptian desert. As they search the pyramid's depths, they become hopelessly lost in its dark and endless catacombs. Searching for a way out, they become desperate to seek daylight again. They come to realize they aren't just trapped, they are being hunted.

Fun little movie with a decent premise. At times didn't know what kind of horror movie it wanted to be. The heavy CGI was very inconsistent with it looking both good and ridiculously bad. Would have been better served with a few more traditional horror effects. Performances were pretty solid. Worth a rental.

I wasn't impressed that much with the similar underground themed horror of AASB, but this one was more fun. Both are historic, claustrophobic, and ridiculous Hollywood CGI, but I felt Pyramid was more exciting and kept me interested. I liked the cats. Saw in theater, would watch at least once again.

I rented this movie thinking that the premise alone is worth checking out. It's not often you see an Egyptian themed horror movie. There exists lots of haunted mansion movies and Amazon temple movies, But not many Egyptian scare movies. The movie has its good moments at the beginning. Following foolish modern explorers enter a colossal tomb. Then the film became a made for TV B-movie at the last quarter. I won't spoil what happens or criticize it's flaws. The rest of the internet already did that. Just be ready to expect hooky acting and CGI effects. Overall, I say this movie is good for watching just once. preferably around the Halloween season.
