Independents' Day

Wow... you know it seems like there was a movie with a VERY similar title and a nearly EXACTLY identical plot back in 1996 that has a sequel coming out this year and which had better acting, better special effects and was just generally better in every way... Who the hell makes a 3rd rate rip off with a nearly identical title? It's not even a spoof. It's just garbage. They stop just short of calling their star Wyll Smyth. The people who made this movie should be punished...

I'd give this Asylum film another half star for that alien space dumping scene alone. I actually liked this movie and it had a couple of cool solid ideas/scenes that Hollywood sci-fi has yet to do. The actors are "Asylum" quality (not that good or over the top) but I did enjoy the redhead Madame President. The SFX visuals are worse than Babylon 5 but it's The Asylum so what else do you expect?? I thought this was a solid B movie, I've seen much worse for sure. Perfect for a Saturday afternoon👍

Maybe the worst sci-fi movie ever made, maybe not the worst, but close. Worst knockoff of Independence Day and Aliens (referring to the Queen and hive). Movie name almost the same as Independence Day. Actors I never heard of, movie was boring, bad special effects, only one alien, bad acting, boring malitia (bad when the militia is boring also).
