A cyber-security engineer at a large corporation, Elliot Alderson believes that the world is ruled by a corrupt elite which has used money and debt to enslave society. Capitalizing on Elliot’s beliefs, Mr. Robot – the secretive head of 'fsociety', an anarchist vigilante hacking group – recruits him to take down the very corporation he is paid to protect, with the goal of erasing 70% of the world’s debt.
