Nowy Świat (New World) is the most representative shopping street of Warsaw’s downtown. At the corner with Świętokrzyska there used to be a historic café with the same name “Nowy Świat”. Opened in 19th century, it was for over 100 years a favorite meeting place for artists, intellectuals and citizens. Since 2009 a left-wing group “Political Critique” has managed a non-profit Cultural Centre in it. Now this place is called “Brave New World”. Some populist right-wing groups complained that Warsaw’s mayor could offer such a prestigious address to a leftist group. Our film is about this conflict and people from the „Political Critique”.

A Polish Film Institute Co-financed Production.
