About this movie

Holding These Moments is about loving a community so much that you never want to let it go. Seen through the eyes of one of the most popular bands in all of hardcore/punk, the film explores how friendships can transform into family. In early 2016, Dan Elswick embarked to document BANE’s final US tour. After teaming up with editor Ricardo Cozzolino, it turned into so much more.

The film follows the band over their entire lifespan, tracing two decades of connecting with friends and fans on a truly personal level. Viewers will experience deep emotional potency as the tour comes to a close and the band members each say goodbye forever to a life they love.

An absolute thrill of a documentary that gives you all the feels. Tears filled my eyes throughout the 2 hour watch. Fantastic work encapsulating an incredible band into a short period of time.

The mixture of the emotions around BANE not being around mixed with the emotions of hardcore not being around in general right now made this extremely powerful even if you aren't a BANE fan. As someone that grew up with this band it is definitely a must watch.
