ruined by an obnoxious host. See the 90's PBS specials A Hot Dog Show or An Ice Cream Show for examples of the focus staying on the local people & food.

CAN'T STAND GUY! WITH SO MANY OTHER OPTIONS TO CHOOSE FROM WHY HAS HE BEEN CHOSEN AS "THE FACE OF FOOD NETWORK".

I hate this guy. You can't learn anything on Food Network anymore except on how to frost your hair and wear sunglasses on the back of your head.
