I Love this mini Series I thought it was a great viewing platform of getting those interested into the military. But is was a great sadness when CBS had asked for all of its shows to reduce their budgets. The Unit is actually already cheaper to produce than it looks. Shot primarily in Southern California, it costs less than $3 million per episode to produce but it was still cancelled the final Fifth Season which would have closed up all the unanswered questions the completed script now sits on a shelf collecting dust and maybe one day they will redo this miniseries from beggining to end of season 5.

Not just a shoot em up. Quite a lot of creative scenarios with no use of firearms at all. And yet gripping viewing. A lot of accurate reflections of dealing with big government, and the layer upon layer of inane bureaucracy.

Loved this show when it was airing live. Great characters, short term and long term plot, you develop familiarisation as the story grows, few big twists but in the end sound writing and easy viewing.
