1 'Tis the Season

LAPD homicide detective Harry Bosch is on trial for the shooting of a suspect serial murderer. When the bones of a missing 13-year old boy are discovered on a local hillside though, Boschs own professional woes cannot compete with his need to find justice for this young victim. Working on the case also brings him into contact with Julia Brasher, a new recruit whose adventurous spirit sparks Boschs interest.

2 Lost Light

The bones case leads Bosch and his partner J. Edgar to a convicted child molester who swears he knows nothing about the crime. Brasher and Bosch get to know each other better. At the same time, Boschs superiors want him to just settle his ongoing court case.

The LAPD kicks into high gear in search for killer Raynard Waits. Bosch turns his attention back to trying to unravel the mystery of what happened to Arthur Delacroix, but Waits has Bosch in his sights and begins a bloody game of cat and mouse with him.

Bosch's lieutenant and confidante Grace Billets convinces him to take advantage of the Christmas holiday to visit his daughter Maddie. But When he returns to Los Angeles, Bosch immediately arrives to a maelstrom. Brasher questions Johnny Stokes, a former friend of Arthur Delacroix, but what had seemed like a simple witness questioning turns into a shooting.

Bosch tries to aid Johnny Stokes as a means of protecting Brasher from the backlash after the shooting. Despite his efforts to help Brasher, their relationship takes a turn for the worse. Waits, laying low and feeling dangerously restless, begins to make dark new plans.

Waits' rage proves lethal even for those closest to him, and his disturbing focus on Bosch only grows sharper. Fortunately, Bosch gains a new ally. His ex-wife, Eleanor, comes to Los Angeles because she just cant stay away from the case or Bosch.

Arthur Delacroixs true killer is revealed, and Bosch is in hot water for inadvertently letting the suspect get away. With two killers now on the loose, and the LAPD has their work cut out for them.

Bosch must visit Dr. Hinojos, a departmental therapist, for psychological evaluation after the trauma of the Waits showdown.

Bit rough to start-forcing as many Connelly book references as possible. Improving though with each episode. Bosch is a great character.

Great cop show. At first glance just like many others but has some great actors, characters and turns.
