With enough fluid to revive one person, Senku and Taiju prepare to free Yuzuriha. The appearance of some hungry lions complicates their plans.

Aware and wary of Tsukawa's troubling moral beliefs, Senku sends him away while he and Taiju work on reviving Yuzuriha and finding potential weapons.

Taiju accidentally proves that Senku's gunpowder experiment is a success. The two friends spot signs of other survivors and make a risky decision.

Using the same scientific prowess Senku refused to give up, Taiju and Yuzuriha escape the murderous Tsukasa. Later, they make a surprising discovery.

As Taiju pleads for Senku to wake up in the present, the flashback to Senku's awakening continues. Meanwhile, a mysterious girl attacks Tsukasa.

Senku joins Kohaku on her trip back to her village and meets Chrome, a self-professed sorcerer who wants to pit his skills against Senku's science.

Local girl Suika aids the trio on their search for ingredients for an antibiotic to save Ruri. But they'll need even more manpower from the village.

The ramen tactic works but it attracts the attention of a magician with dubious loyalties. Later, a sudden thunderstorm turns into an opportunity.

While Gen marvels at Senku's generator, a spear-wielding assailant catches him off guard. Later, Suika learns the attacker and Kohaku share a history.

With the pressure off after Gen's false report to Tsukasa, Senku processes quartz sand to fix a problem for Suika. Kohaku trains for the Grand Bout.

Senku demonstrates that his spear is no mere pointy object. His next destination is a poisonous pool of sulfuric acid, but he may not return alive.

Senku needs alcohol to produce the antibiotic and joins the Grand Bout to get it. Magma plots a way to ensure that his rivals don't have a fair shot.

The Grand Bout continues and Magma uses a nasty trick to incapacitate Kinro. Later, Chrome races against time to put an end to Magma's dirty deeds.

Ginro's blind ambition and Chrome's poor condition complicate Senku's plans. He must obtain the alcohol to save Ruri before she runs out of time.

Senku becomes chief and finally cures Ruri. She tells him an ancient tale passed down through her family about the astronaut Byakuya, his father.

Byakuya insists on risking his life by going right to where the petrification began. Later, the crew uses their training to create a small village.

Tsukasa's forces attack the village and their sly leader Hyoga quickly bests Kinro. Senku uses science to show them the power of superior weaponry.

Hyoga reveals the real intention behind his failed assault. With the village in danger, Suika must use her knowledge of local hazards to save the day.

Senku declares he'll produce a cell phone in only a few months, anticipating an invasion from Tsukasa in spring. Step one involves cotton candy.

The village "crafts club" kicks into high gear, creating batteries, light bulbs and a vacuum pump before starting on the cell phone's core components.

Senku must locate tungsten to create a suitably durable filament and leads an expedition to a nearby cave. But unexpected danger awaits within.

The tungsten must now be crushed into a powder and heated at a very high temperature. Senku tells his team they're ready to work independently.

The village is delighted to successfully test its new phone. Ruri gives Senku a hint that leads him to a hidden historical artifact.
