Shortly after quitting his job and moving to a secluded ranch, Larry (Garry Shandling) realizes that he misses the show and asks Arthur (Rip Torn) to negotiate his return. But coming back isn't easy, especially with a Montana woman threatening to file a paternity suit and the network's new owner expressing no interest in putting Larry back on the air. As preoccupied by his dry cleaning and lunch as he is with his future in show business and the threat of an earthquake, Larry faces a series of possible staff defections, courts Sharon Stone to be his date for a presidential dinner, and fights off rumors of a romance with Hank's (Jeffery Tambor) assistant. Then, as Hank's life spins out of control after his wife leaves him, it is up to Artie and a series of hookers to snap him out of it and get him back at Larry's side.
