This show came out during my preteen years and slip under my radar so it wasn't till season 3 with the mayor and the rogue slayer faith that I actually saw an episode and fell in love with Buffy and the Scoobies. Unfortunately at this time there was no Netflix and finding a show and binge watching it wasn't really all that easy to do so I had to wait almost 6 years till I could watch it from start to finish and then I watched angel from start to end as soon as I finished B.T.V.S, those two shows as well as charmed, smallville, Xena, Hercules, Highlander the series, the Crow: stairway to heaven, VTG kung fu the legend continues, and supernatural all help reshape/reimagine/reinforce and/or Influenced/dictated what style/format/content I enjoyd and what I wpuld.look for in a show for so far the rest of my life. B.T. V.S and charmed and followed a few years later in my life by supernatural were.the big three in my mind responsible for forming my idea of proper storytelling on television. And to this day those shows.espsecially BTVS, still qualifies for the title of a fun and entertaining idiot box magic picture programing, and always will be able to stand toe to toe with current shows and though get its ass dusted in terms of visual and effects quality, the story.and characters, though at times original live action Batman show level corny and super campy, are still top notch storytelling in terms of humor, reparability, draw in power and rewatch value is still and always will be the slayer of TV audience everywhere.

It is cheesy, it is ridiculous, and it is one of my favorite shows I grew up on. Currently watching through it once more with my wife because she has never seen the whole thing. She is loving the show. Joss Whedon creates some of the best characters on screen. I don't think there is a thing he has done that we don't love. I really don't want this show to come to an end....

Buffy the Vampire Slayer is a kickass comedy-action vampire show about a tough teenage slayer girl thwarted into battle with vampires. The battle scenes involving the lead are top notch, the humor is solid, character development is firm, vampires are good looking but ugly when need be and story arcs are great. It's the best vampire show that has ever existed.
