Theater Of Blood

Directed by Douglas Hickox, "Theater of Blood" offers the one and only Vincent Price ("From A Whisper to a Scream") in a role both madcap and touching. Price plays Edward Lionhart, a Shakespearean actor determined to wreak vengeance on the critics who fail to appreciate his genius, killing them in a series of set-piece murders based on scenes from Shakespeare. Diana Rigg ("The Hospital") plays Price's Cordelia-like daughter, and a lineup of British thespian legends incarnate the critics, including Robert Morley ("Topkapi"), Jack Hawkins ("Outpost in Malaya"), Harry Andrews ("The Devil's Disciple"), Arthur Lowe ("The Bed Sitting Room"), Robert Coote ("The Cool Ones"), Michael Hordern ("Joseph Andrews"), Dennis Price ("Dear Murderer"), Ian Hendry ("The McKenzie Break"), and Coral Browne ("Dreamchild").
