About this movie

FAT tells the far-fetched but completely true history of how our country became so unhealthy. In 1970, just over 1.5 million people had been diagnosed with Diabetes in the United States. Now over 30 million have Diabetes. What's even more alarming is that 100 million people, 1 in 3, have Diabetes or are Pre-Diabetic. This is not to mention the 40% of the population that are obese. How is this possible with the non-stop flow of new diets, exercise machines and our general obsession with health and weight loss? We're as unhealthy as ever. The truth is that we have pretty much had everything completely upside-down and backwards. FAT traces a detailed history spanning 150 years to show how misinformation and outright lies have become "truth."

Vinnie is a godsend and this movie is his tool to get people to see what has happened. My wife and I have lost almost a hundred pounds together over the last year and are healthier than we've ever been because of Vinnie's instruction. and all of this just by changing our diet. the movie is frankly great, everyone should watch it and have watching parties. Get more people to watch this so you understand why you are getting fatter even though you're doing what you're told to do.

Loved this Documentary. Very eye opening! I liked that there are expert researchers, doctors, and others that present the other side of the story. The story that we don't hear so much in common media and education sources. Why is this not being taught in health classes, in elementary education and universities? Why does the AHA and ADA still stick to the same dogma that has only made us fatter and sicker? Show both sides of the argument, and give the raw evidence to back it up, and let people make their choice. I think it's time I lose the standard american diet and try to focus more on real food. I would love to see more like this.

The documentary actually points to the science and not dogma, beliefs. A fantastic introduction to those that have never read a Gary Taubes book or never listened to Vinny's podcasts. Hope that this gets massive traction and start the paradigm shift.
