Bairavaa: An edge-of-the-seat thriller

Bairavaa, a Tamil action movie dubbed in Malayalam under the same title, stars Vijay Thalapathy in the titular role of a debt collector who battles a crook posing as an educational philanthropist. The film is an action blockbuster movie revolving around a young man, Bairavaa, who joins his fiancée in her struggle for justice against PK, an unethical, dishonest politician who has established an organisation by fooling ambitious medical aspirants and their families.

In an effort to shed light on the unscrupulous dealings of businessmen, Bairavaa makes public statements about them. This film attempts to demonstrate the systemic effects of the widespread practice of colleges and universities swindling their students.

The plot of the movie Bairavaa 

Bairavaa works as a debt collector for a bank in Chennai and resorts to whatever measures necessary to recover the outstanding debt owed to the bank. He meets a medical student of PK Medical College in Kallidaikurichi, Malarvizhi, at a wedding and is captivated by her. PK, a former butcher-turned-powerful criminal and politician, dominates the city of Tirunelveli along with his associate Kottai Veeran. He also runs the medical college where Malarvizhi is a student. Unfortunately, the university lacks basic resources such as a functional structure and qualified medical staff. After receiving complaints from Malarvizhi and her companion Vaishali, the MCI decides to ban the institution for its subpar infrastructure.

Malarvizhi sues PK in court, and the judge rules that the two parties must wait for the verdict before expelling Malarvizhi. Thus begins a ruthless game between Bairavaa and PK.

Kottai Veeran turns approver against PK after being persuaded by Bairavaa.  PK is framed by Bairavaa for planning to kill the country’s prime minister. After realising he has no way out, PK attempts to kill Bairavaa, but the latter easily takes him down and frees himself. Bairavaa and Malarvizhi win the case in court.

The cast of this action film comprises Vijay Thalapathy in the role of Bairavaa, Keerthy Suresh plays Vijay’s love interest Malarvizhi, Jagapathi Babu essays the role of the primary antagonist PK, and Daniel Balaji portrays Kottai Veeran.

Bairavaa is directed by Bharathan and produced by B. Venkatarama Reddy. The cinematographer is M. Sukumar, and the music composer is Santhosh Narayanan.
