Train to Busan Presents: Peninsula

Train to Busan Presents: Peninsula

Directed by YEON Sang-Ho

Four years after South Korea’s total decimation in TRAIN TO BUSAN, the zombie thriller that captivated audiences worldwide, acclaimed director Yeon Sang-ho brings us PENINSULA, the next nail-biting chapter in his post-apocalyptic world. Jung-seok, a soldier who previously escaped the diseased wasteland, relives the horror when assigned to a covert operation with two simple objectives: retrieve and survive. When his team unexpectedly stumbles upon survivors, their lives will depend on whether the best-or worst-of human nature prevails in the direst of circumstances. A SHUDDER EXCLUSIVE.

If you abandoned the story and forget train to busan this movie is awesome. I love these types of zombie movies and I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of them. Don’t go into the movie thinking about how great train to busan was and you’ll have a good time watching this. Good not great

Very entertaining. Surprisingly so. Engaging characters and story. Some of the post-apocalyptic stuff was a little cliche, but they didn't spend an inordinate amount of time on it. What keeps this from 5 skulls for me was the somewhat drab and repetitive art direction. Atmosphere and setting remained mostly unchanged. This is basically a compliment to how strong the story is, because it was still fun and kept our attention all the way through. But a little more visual flair would have been nice.

It was really good, just when I thought it was going to end. More developments happened, and then another. Wish they had all three of the stories

I didn't find it as good as the first one but it was still very well done and very entertaining.
