I watched this right after the first installment, and tbh...it was a pretty big letdown. The characters were far less likable, the filming and acting felt way less genuine and more forced, and the storyline? Not nearly as fresh. It felt like a filler episode of an anime, but it had EVERYTHING to do with the main plot without leaving any room for any new content. Sure, it tied directly to the original story, answering most of the questions about what happened in the first one, but it lacked soul. It didn't hit as hard as the first. Now I'm torn. this makes me want to bail on the series, but since I'm already two movies deep, might as well see if the next one picks up the slack. for horror newbies, those who are easily spooked, or those into cheesy horror flicks, this is for you, but right now, it's BARELY a 2/5 for me. I really enjoyed the first one, but this? Not feeling it.
A fantastic series with each film worth repeated viewing for a life time.
