I haven't seen it in over 25 years. I 1st saw it at the cinema on it's release about 6 times & watched it on video over 100 times. I still knew every word even after such a long time. Complete Masterpiece! Stay Cool & Ciao.
This is the first time I've seen the original Fright Night. I'd only seen the remake from 2011 (which is good too,) but I don't think it tops this original! So good! Definitely one of my favorite vampire flicks. Classic.
Great movie, but the version on Shudder seems to be a little . . . off. Before the movie starts, we see a title that says, "This movie has been altered from its original version. It has been formatted to fit this screen. " Then the first few scenes are displayed in the original 2:39 aspect ratio, but it soon switches to a 16:9 for modern TVs. It also has a lot of strange fade-out transitions between scenes that I just don't remember being there before . . . almost as if they were meant to signal commercial breaks. Is the Shudder version some sort of TV edit?
Great Classic
Absolute Masterpiece
