Court is back in session for the second season of TNT's emotionally powerful legal drama from Emmy®-winning producer Steven Bochco. Follow the cases and lives of young lawyers on opposite sides of the bench — the public defenders and the district attorneys — as well as those who sit in judgment on their cases. With a new police initiative increasing the caseload, idealistic public defender Jerry Kellerman (Mark-Paul Gosselaar, NYPD Blue) is so overworked that his protective boss, Rosalind "Roz" Whitman (Gloria Reuben, ER) has to return to the front lines. But as they struggle to defend clients, or at least work out a decent plea deal, their toughest adversary may be the ambitious Judge Trudy Kessler (Jane Kaczmarek, Malcolm in the Middle), who has dreams of becoming the next district attorney. Outside the courtroom, passions and tempers flare, as work spills into their private lives.
