Street Fighter begins in a world on the brink of chaos, as a civil war in the southeast Asian nation of Shadaloo threatens to erupt into global conflict. Allied Nations forces, led by Col. William F. Guile (Van Damme), are assigned to locate and rescue 63 relief workers taken hostage by renegade General M. Bison (Julia). But their plan is nearly derailed at the last moment when reporter Chun-Li Zang (Ming-Na) intervenes and wants much more than just a story.
