Ciro Di Marzio, right hand man of clan boss Pietro Savastano, and Ciro’s fatherly friend Attilio set fire to Salvatore Conte’s home to cut Salvatore down to size – him, the ruthless upcoming contender on the Savastano clan’s turf. When Conte not only manages to escape but, in revenge, sprays a local bar frequented by the Savstanos with bullets and hand grenades, this means all-out war for Ciro’s boss Pietro, whatever the cost. Indeed the death toll of the ensuing bloody battle is high, including Attilio. Heartbroken, Ciro mourns silently the loss of his foster father who had taken him as a child. While Pietro is satisfied with the outcome Ciro secretly yearns for revenge.

Ciro knows the time for revenge has not yet come, for the next major problem he has to deal with is always waiting around the corner. Like the bust of the Savastano cocaine shipment at the port of Naples where the whistleblower must be found.
Or like Pietro’s son Genny’s initiation, that Ciro has to mentor. But on his first random kill, Genny can’t go through with it, so Ciro has to finish the job. When they both resolve to lie to Pietro saying Genny handled the job fine, the charade is bound to backfire once Pietro puts his mind to it. And when it does he will demand a vile display of loyalty from Ciro… But at the moment Pietro’s priority is to take care of the supposed whistleblower, his long-time friend and deputy clan leader Bolleta. He also finds himself cleaning up behind the mischief his son Genny has been up to. Then, in a twist of fate, Pietro is arrested on a police road block search and Ciro’s chance seems to have come.

But Ciro’s turn hasn’t come quite yet, for Pietro manages to hold on to the reins from inside the prison. Even being behind bars won’t stop him sending Ciro and his men to eliminate the Nigerian crack-dealers in a brutal massacre. And among the inmates Pietro is the undisputed top dog.
Meanwhile, Genny finally succeeds in impressing Noemi, the girl he had set his sight on, by surprising her with Alesso, her favorite Italian singer.
However Pietro’s time as clan leader is finally up when he is transferred to a high security prison and kept in solitary confinement under twenty-four hour observation. It seems as if the throne is vacant. Who will take Pietro’s place…?

Nigerian clans which peddle crack on behalf of Pietro Savastano hear rumors that the boss is in jail. So, they stopped to pay their share to the clan, making the place a real Nigerian stronghold. The situation is unsustainable and Imma, tenacious wife of the boss, cannot hide her concern to her husband. Yet Pietro seems to have a single thought: to demonstrate to the Commander who's really in charge in prison. While Ciro with Genny in tow tries to quell the Nigerian revolt, Pietro organizes a massive revolt of the prisoners and, after putting fire to Poggioreale, is transferred to 41a regime.

With Pietro gone, it is Imma who surprisingly starts to take care of business. With a couple of clever moves and a lot of courage she is suddenly in the pole position. Ciro is left with no choice but to take his orders from her now, with particular concern to her son Genny. And suddenly, Genny, with some pressure from Imma, slowly starts to emancipate himself from his mentor Ciro.
When Imma finds a hole in the Savastano accounts managed by the family’s banker Franco Musi in Milan, she reveals the full extent of her dedication, even ruthlessness.
And when Pietro informs her that Genny and Ciro are to be his heirs, she doesn’t hesitate to send them off to what seems like missions with no return.

While Imma finally convinces Genny to go on a mission to the clan’s drug-trafficking sources in Honduras, Ciro has already left for Spain. His assignment is to find Conte and negotiate a truce between the clans. Ciro is fully aware this seemingly hopeless undertaking may cost him his life, but destiny once again intervenes in his favor, leaving him virtually unscathed and mastering his task.
Feeling invincible, Ciro returns to Naples only to realize nothing is as it was before. Genny is gone and Imma has taken control of the clan. And what makes matters worse, she has Pietro’s blessing. He has crowned her as his queen…

Ciro weaves his web further around Genny to distract from the rat he is beginning to smell: If it wasn’t Genny who gave the order, he must join the manhunt for Daniele to prove his own innocence…
Realizing it is the only way to save her son’s life, Daniele’s mother pays Imma a surprise visit from mother to mother, imploring her to spare her son’s life who was obviously nothing but a pawn in the whole scam. Even more surprisingly, Imma gives her her word, but only moments later Savastano cars are already racing towards Daniele’s hideout.
Little do they know that Daniele’s brother Massimo has pleaded for Daniele’s life in very much the same terms, but with Conte who, in turn, demands to know his hideout.
When the Savastano clan finally arrives all they find is Daniele’s dead body...
