On the 13th floor of a downtown tower, visionaries Douglas Hall (Craig Bierko) and Hannon Fuller (Armin Mueller-Stahl) have taken virtual reality technology to its apex by re-creating 1937 Los Angeles on a computer chip. When Hall awakens to discover bloody clothing and Fuller murdered, he becomes the prime suspect. To solve the murder, Hall begins a search for the truth that plunges him into a world of murder and deception. The line between fantasy and reality continues to blur when he meets the beautiful and mysterious Jane (Gretchen Mol). To find the answers, Hall must cross the boundaries between the real world and the simulated world he has created. The past and present collide on The Thirteenth Floor, where Hall confronts not only the truth about his innocence, but the reality of his own existence.
