It's the last call for Atlantic City booze kingpin Nucky Thompson and his Prohibition-era cronies as HBO presents the fifth and final season of the Emmy-winning drama series. Set in 1931, six years after the events of Season 4, the country is in the throes of the Great Depression. With the end of Prohibition in sight, Nucky looks to legitimize himself by forging alliances with liquor producers. Meanwhile, the death of Arnold Rothstein has led to a major power struggle; Margaret's fragile job on Wall Street is threatened by her boss's suicide; Chalky White looks to exact revenge on Valentin Narcisse; and Eli Thompson is now working with Van Alden under Al Capone.
