The Housemaid

Linh is a docile and hardworking poor orphaned girl who lost her family in a bomb attack. She comes to Sa Cat seeking a housemaid job. Sebastien Laurent is a French captain and owner of the Sa Cat rubber plantation. For years, the massive mansion is rumored to have ghosts, particularly those of Camille – Sebastien’s late wife—and the mistreated plantation workers. The house is extremely large, but there are only three people taking care of it: Ms. Hàn, the housekeeper; Mrs. Ngô, the chef;, and Mr. Châu; the plantation taskmaster—who make this place strange and mysterious. Once Linh comes to Sa Cat, she starts to hear strange sounds, have frightening dreams, and witness bizarre occurrences. One night, Sebastien unexpectedly returns from the battlefield with a severe injury. Linh is assigned to care for his wounds. After a while, they get closer to each other and develop a romance. However, their love awakens the vengeful souls of Sa Cat plantation.
