Children of Heaven
On his way home, Ali, a schoolboy from a poor family in the southern part the Tehran, loses the just repaired shoes of his younger sister, Zahra. Thinking that his family would not be able to afford new shoes, he asks Zahra to keep the bad news from their parents. Their secret arrangement consists of Zahra wearing the shoes to school in the morning and Ali wearing the shoes in the afternoon resulting in some anxious moments and delightful mishaps. “Children of Heaven” is a tender and moving, tale of compassion, determination and deep family love. It portrays human hope and beauty against the harsh economic and political landscapes of Tehran.
