Andy Dufresne and Ellis Boyd `Red' Redding are two prisoners serving long sentences in the vicious Shawshank jail. The two come to terms with their imprisonment while surviving the sadistic acts of prison warden Samuel Norton, and for both, a different sort of redemption awaits.
