Neufeld began as an amateur photographer in his teens, then ventured into the television business with the Dumont Television Network, within a few years he formed his own independent television production company and personal management firm. Becoming a film producer, he enjoyed immediate success with The Omen and its sequels, followed by among others, No Way Out, The Frisco Kid, The Hunt for Red October, Patriot Games, Clear and Present Danger and The Equalizer I and II.
