I have watched this series 4 or 5 times already, and what ALWAYS gets me is Riz Ahmed's acting. This dude can convey so much emotion with just his eyes! The show (if you watch it for the very first time) will keep you second guessing yourself. This was well written, and gracefully executed. From the cinematography, lighting, attention to sound design, and the acting, I LOVE this show...So much I bought it. lol Watch it for the humanistic story if nothing else.

Good acting and some intense moments, but poor writing. It's hilariously contrived and not particularly believable. I spent most of the first episode questioning or cringing at every head-scratchingly boneheaded decision our protagonist makes. This rating is based entirely on the pilot; I decided it wasn't for me and read the synopsis instead. I don't think I missed much.

I didn't know If I wanted to bother with this series at first. I was more annoyed that game of thrones ended lol. It was a realistic perspective of what life is like when u are a victim of the system and you need to survive. Acting is incredible and the series keeps you thinking and feeling for all the characters involved.
