Detective Sergeant Helen Weeks hasn't come to terms with being a mother yet; a copper first and foremost - she doesn't want to sit around in cafes all day breastfeeding. She hasn't even told her boyfriend - fellow detective - Paul about the pregnancy. But when Helen does break the news, he's utterly delighted and his joy is contagious.

As Poppy Johnston's parents publicly plea for Stephen Bates to reveal the whereabouts of their daughter, Helen is in the midst of a heated confrontation. She tells Adam the truth, that their fling was self-sabotage.

Helen and Paul re-connect over a rowdy Indian meal with best mate Hendricks and Paul's work partner Gary. Helen apologises for the millionth time, and it seems Paul is ready to accept. Next morning Helen wakes to find she is alone in bed.

Helen is attempting to relax at Jenny's, but her interest is piqued by a news report about Mikey's murder and Snap's disappearance. Helen rings DCI Carter for an update on the investigation wondering if this could be the gang involved in Paul's death? Frustrated by his response, Helen heads to the estate to ask some questions of her own...
