I've watched Doctor Who since the reboot. The classics were not available in the states except through PBS which didn't always carry it. As good as the actors were who played the Doctor, I never felt any of them were "MY" Doctor...until the 12th Doctor, Peter Capaldi took over. When I heard he was going to be the Doctor, I was worried how he would play it. I've seen him in The Thick of It & as the Cardinal in the Musketeers, but then I read he was a lifelong Whovian I relaxed a bit. Plus, the character of Clara would be there to catch the Doctor if he was too serious, which is what happened. On Deep Breath when he did the bit about the mirror, "Don't look in that, it's infuriating!" then I thought, OK, he can be funny too! By the time Series 9 came along I knew I found "MY" Doctor. If you want an example of how good he was in and how well he knew the part watch S9 The Zygon Inversion. Listen to him talk to "Bonnie" about what war is and how it still affects him. He should have gotten a BAFTA for just that scene alone. Now, he is leaving as they all seem to do and we will be getting our 1st woman Doctor. I don't know if the attitude of the viewing public is ready for one or not, but what I do know is she has some big Doc Martens to fill. Plus, she's going to need to be as good as Peter was, as funny as Matt was, as silly as David was and as emotionally mature as Christopher was. There are those who when photos were released of the new Doctor (OK, the outfit makes her look like an 80's soccer mom), that it will be the final end of Doctor Who. I do not think so. The story of the Doctor is one of change and growth. I think it will survive. However, as my heart gets broken on 12/27 (the local cinema is showing the finale for Peter on their huge screens on 12/27&28), and I watch MY Doctor regenerate into the 1st female Doctor all I can say is she better not take the role lightly. The fans will be watching.

The best seasons was 1-5 but then David left Matt and Peter were ok but this new Season not to sound sexsis but it was bs the women doctor could not fill the role of the people before her it was a mess not dalek or and old friend like come on a lest an ood "everyone likes an ood" or a memorable line like "I'm the doctor from the plant etc" this show is trying like a parent trying to get with the kids like all this cool stuff is boring. the doctor never said equidistant she does not even have her own saying like ailonece. The show is also trying too hard putting all types of people in it like Indian black. Note to the director I know that u are new but read up on how the 5th doctor's episodes they were good like the girl in the fire place. Another note have u ever watched the second season with two companions that was confusing enough but three that reeeeee u get what I'm saying the show ani't cutting it chef. this is coming from a fan of the show for along time I've been watching since the the show first remake of the classic. will I'm talking a storm I'll mite as well as say sub to pewds on YouTube. if u work for the doctor who part of BBC then please listen to the people.

Everything went down hill at the start of the 8th session. So sad, this used to be one of my favorite shows. Instead of watching the horrible new sessions I just rewatch the old ones. You could say Dr. Who ended in season 7 or you could also say it ended in season 10 making 8,9 and 10 the finale to the Doctor. Again so sad 😢 EDIT: My friend told me to see Session 12 finale,WTH are they doing! They are running this show to the ground! Antique Road Show had more views than Dr. Who...😱 Seriously!
