I have heard of this show ever since it first debuted and never gave it a second thought, that is, until the 3rd week of Feb 2016 and IFC had been showing a mini-marathon. I saw maybe 5 minutes of 1 episode and I've since been hooked crazy-obsessed-style. Portlandia has exponentially become my new "Comfort Show"! I absolutely LOVE it!

Some elements of the episode cadence, story-telling, and style are reminiscent of "Mr. Show with Bob and Dave", Despite this it's still fair to acknowledge, it is one of the most original shows on television. Not too mention undeniably and pesistently entertaining. Never saw an episode that wasn't either very interesting or very funny. The norm being both. It is high American humor, that works. With the exception of the aforementioned gem from Bob Odenkirk and David Cross, Portlandia is in a class all it's own.

Ok, whatever joke they had was overlong and badly written. A cohesive storyline was nowhere to be seen. Guys, ever heard of an editor?????? My sister did it for most of my late mothers books(over 40 published. Many still on Amazon.). There must be a way to be able to make sense!!!! Rewrite! Edit!
