One year has passed and a naming ceremony for Thomas' and his young girlfriend Isa's daughter, Melody, is imminent. Grønnegaard is bustling with preparations. Isa is frustrated upon hearing that Gro is going to be godmother. In Thailand Emil is out on bail waiting for his case to come to a conclusion. Frederik and his family have moved out into nature on a plot by the water to get a fresh start. They are beginning to settle down in the new environment, but it hasn't been an easy adjustment. 2015 Arrow Films

In the middle of an important art conference Gro, holding Melody in her arms, learns that Emil has been imprisoned. She contacts Frederik to get help, but he hesitates because he still hasn't forgiven Emil for his affair with Solveig. Emil has been badly hurt and after some time in isolation he has to find his place among the other inmates in the Thai prison. At Grønnegaard, Signe is struggling with her farm and trying to convince her partner, Jan, to increase the crop. Gro wants to go to Thailand to help Emil so she asks Signe to help out with Melody. 2015 Arrow Films

Gro and Frederik have arrived in Thailand. They meet up with their Thai lawyer who has arranged a meeting with the prosecutor. At Grønnegaard, preparations are made for an art expert to valuate Signe's acquisition. Lone says that Kim, chairman of the Jakobsen Foundation, will also be there. In Thailand, Gro and Frederik go to the prison to see Emil. Gro promises Emil that they will get him out. Emil is glad to learn that Frederik has come too, but Frederik has a different agenda. 2015 Arrow Films

Thomas goes to the airport to pick up Emil, Gro and Frederik at the airport. Solveig and the children have also turned up to meet Frederik. Thomas wants to celebrate but Frederik is not interested and just wants to go home. Signe is busy converting her barn when John, a helper, pulls her aside to ask whether the rumours of her affair are true. Back home at Gro's place Robert notices the bruises on her neck after the episode with Frederik, but Gro asks him not to interfere with her family. 2015 Arrow Films

At Grønnegaard, Signe is trying to save her farm. She has found a new buyer for next year's hemp crop if she can afford to harvest it, and this means she has to sell her work of art. Signe asks Gro if she can have the prototype, which Gro refuses. Signe doesn't understand why Gro won't help her and is tired of feeling used. The children are visiting Frederik, but Villads feels uneasy and has called his mother. Solveig wants to take the children with her, but Hannah wants to stay with her father. 2015 Arrow Films

Signe is busy at the farm and struggling to get the Grønnegaard clan to accept the new terms. Emil helps Thomas extend his shed to make room for Isa and Melody. Thomas wants to celebrate with a swim in Finn's Bay with Isa and Emil but he needs to borrow Signe's car. Hannah is at work with Gro in Copenhagen when Kim breaks the news that Signe's work of art is the reason for a big exhibition in Hamburg. Kim hopes there are more unique works hidden in the basement at Grønnegaard. 2015 Arrow Films

Gro looks after Thomas who has been hospitalised. His condition is serious, and it is not easy to make the anti-authoritarian Thomas cooperate with the doctors. At Grønnegaard, the uncertainty about the future has marked everyone. Signe worries about Melody, but continues her work on the farm together with Aksel. Frederik is paralysed because he cannot see his children, and Emil rises to the occasion to help Frederik and his fellow Grønnegaard inhabitants. Kim is looking for a paper to document the work of Signe, but since this does not exist, Frederik and Emil are forced to resort to creative thinking. 2015 Arrow Films
