About this show

In 1795, three teenage boys discovered a strange, man-made hole on Oak Island, a small, wooded island just off the coast of Nova Scotia, Canada. As the boys began to dig, they found a number of intriguing artifacts. It was the end of the piracy era and rumors of buried treasure were rampant. The boys' discovery launched a treasure hunt that has spanned more than 200 years, cost millions of dollars and involved dozens of speculators, engineers and even famous personalities such as John Wayne, Errol Flynn and Franklin D. Roosevelt.

In 6 entire seasons theyve done little more than speculate theories, recap the same clips 100s of times and exaggerate what "treasure" is. While the premise of the show is enticing I would suggest watching only the first and last episodes of a season. They recap every highlight at the beginning and end of every show, stretching a legitimate 15 minutes of new content into an hour (on tv with 20 minutes of commercials).

UPDATE 2021-12-15 Season 9 has returned. Good. But the episodes skip from 8 to 11. Where are episodes 9 and 10? Is this a Google Play issue or production company issue? Seems to a common problem across many Google Play TV shows. The show is worth 5 stars but the fact Google just pulled down season 9 after only one episode and AFTER I paid for the entire season garners it a one star.
