Adequate. I understand they cant get all the detail in from the books and have to take shortcuts, but just watching the first season and the story misses out so much that builds Uhtreds character up into the loveable rogue that kept me coming back to the books. Not sure if I will purchase the second season.

In my opinion, the books were better, but then that's how it always seems! It's maybe not as good as Vikings (what is?!), and the middle three episodes or so are fairly boring, but hanging in till the end is definitely worth it. Basically, it has bits which aren't so great, but the rest is great.
