When a shot is fired at a charity fundraiser, host Malcolm Powell is found dead in his study. Malcolm's PA, Vicky is certain she knows who the culprit is - a mystery man named Jack Roberts who had an appointment with Malcolm and was seen arriving and then fleeing the scene of the crime. However, when Richard and his team pursue the suspect, they find his abandoned car nearby with no clues as to his whereabouts or motive for killing Malcolm.

About this show

This warm, light-hearted detective drama is a fish-out-of-water story about a quintessential English policeman posted to the Caribbean island of Saint-Marie. To anyone else it would be paradise, but for Detective Inspector Richard Poole it's hell! Totally unsuited to the Caribbean way of life, Richard hates the sun, sea and sand and isn't used to their style of policing. But he finds his brilliant detective skills combine well with the local police to help solve a series of mysterious murders. Will Richard ever come to see the beauty of his surroundings? Perhaps not, but he might one day loosen his tie.

Fantastic show! You will love it. .. humor, murder and intrigue all in the beautiful tropics. I agree with all of that and yes WHY, WHY AND WHY AGAIN, did you kill him off bring him back. In as much as the new guy is good and different ad I like him as an actor you need to bring him back and remember if it ain't broke don;t fix it!!!

I absolutely love this show. I bought season 6 but I've just noticed that episode 5 was missing. Can anyone help or knows how I can get hold of this episode? Thanks! Thank you! Episode 5 is now available.

Light hearted humerous drama at it's very best as only the Brit's can do it. An oasis in the midst of mediocrity. I just wish they expanded the writing team so as we could extend each series to at least 12 episodes.
